Clinic Testimonials from Coaches like you:

I've been coaching 17 years and have attended BCAM Clinic every year. I found the clinic speakers informative and a great chance to hang out with fellow coaches as well. I've also attended the Nike basketball clinic in Las Vegas for those 17 years. Once BCAM introduced on-floor demonstration as Nike does it improved the clinic immensely. It is in my estimation one of the finest and best organized clinics available.

---Dan Welch, Lutheran High North

I coach 7th and 8th grade boys and have attended the clinic the past two years. It has been a great experience and a benefit to our entire program. I've found the speakers to be entertaining and informative. Several have spent extra time with me to help adapt some of their ideas to my youngsters. Jim Laranaga spent an hour the evening after his presentation showing me how to simplify his scramble defense for my kids. I've brought home practice drills that have made it all the way to our varsity program. I would tell any coach at any level not to miss the clinic.

--Steve Robins, Onaway Area Schools

The BCAM Coaches Clinic is certainly one of the best of its kind anywhere. The organization, the line-up of outstanding speakers every year, and the opportunity to talk basketball and share ideas with other coaches make the BCAM weekend special. During the the 13 years I coached in the state of Michigan, the BCAM Clinic was a staple of our preparation to start each season. Invariably we would always return with an idea, a new drill or concept – something which would improve our program. There is an absolute wealth of basketball knowledge available during the BCAM Clinic weekend – it is a tremendous opportunity to learn and become a better coach.

--Dean Lockwood, Asst Women's Basketball Coach, University of Tennessee

The BCAM Coaching Clinic has always been and always will be about "what's important" for the Michigan high school coach! The variety of coaches and topics covered has been diverse, meaningful, and "right on time" for Michigan's coaches. Each year there seems to be some outstanding national college coaches speaking as well as many from our state and the midwest. Including some of Michigan's finest high school coaches is always interesting because they normally have to deal with situations in our own state and the coaches in attendance feel close and comfortable with them.

As a former college coach I've had the opportunity to travel around America and talk with high school and junior college coaches from places far away from Michigan - the BCAM organization AND clinic is nationally known as one of the finest in our country. We sometimes take things for granted because they are right here in front of us with easy access. Our BCAM is the envy of many other states, and the fact this group puts on such a fabulous clinic for us EVERY YEAR is absolutely terrific!

--Dave Ginsberg, Head Basketball Coach, Traverse City St. Francis High School

I have attended the BCAM clinic several times during my 35 year coaching career. I have always found it to be a great experience and also a chance for my staff to become closer. The speakers are exceptional and also very approachable. I feel that I learn something valuable about our great game every time I attend.

--Don Palmer, Hartland Girls Basketball, BCAM Hall of Fame 2006

I have been a faithful attender for 5 years. The BCAM clinic is terrific on many levels; first the coaches that present are top notch, some are big names around the country and others just in our state but the information is very good. Second, the location and cost make this clinic a no-brainer. It's very affordable and you get a chance to connect with other coaches in the state. I'm looking forward to this year.

--Mark Christner, Calvin College

I have been coaching here for quite a while; Haslett, Bath, Fowler, and Ionia. I have been attending the clinic for over 20 years now. I have to say, I enjoy pretty much everything about it. I think the greatest improvement has been the on-court demonstrations on the last day (Sunday)-- I really have enjoyed and learned a lot from those. I think the speakers are great. I feel I learn something new every time I go, and I always encourage the younger coaches to attend. I also think it's a great time to visit with coaches and set up scrimmages, and of course seeing all the coaches trying to better themselves and their teams is very exciting.

--Scott Pischea, Ionia High School, Boys Varsity Basketball
